Arshad Salman Foundation conducted a Blanket Distribution Drive as a humanitarian response to the harsh winter conditions faced by people living on the streets. The drive focused on providing warmth and immediate relief to those sleeping in open spaces, especially during cold winter nights when survival itself becomes a challenge.

The objective of this initiative was to support and protect vulnerable individuals from extreme cold, while also reminding society of its shared responsibility toward those who are often unseen and unheard. Arshad Salman Foundation believes that while many of us rest comfortably in our homes and beds, it is our moral duty to extend care and compassion to those suffering outside.

The blanket distribution drive was carried out over a period of five days, from 6th December 2025 to 10th December 2025, ensuring consistent outreach and wider coverage during peak winter conditions.

The drive was executed at key locations along Mysore Road, Bengaluru, with a major focus around Victoria Hospital, where many families and individuals were found sleeping on footpaths for days and even weeks while their loved ones were undergoing treatment.

This initiative was aimed at people living on footpaths, daily wage labourers, hospital attendants, and migrant workers—particularly labourers from Ballari who work in Bengaluru and are forced to live on the streets due to economic constraints. A total of 200 blankets were distributed by Sir and the Arshad Salman Foundation team to those in need.

Through this drive, Arshad Salman Foundation members deeply realised the stark contrast between comfort and survival. It reinforced the understanding that empathy must translate into action, and that small efforts—like providing warmth—can bring dignity, relief, and hope to someone’s life. The experience strengthened Arshad Salman Foundation’s commitment to humanity beyond boundaries and reminded us that true service begins when we choose compassion over comfort.
